The best players from around the world came together to compete head-to-head in a tournament of The Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor.
Eight competitors played single-elimination style speedruns of The Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor. Players competed for the best of three playlists, each consisting of ten songs, and the winner moved on to the next bracket.
To make matters more interesting (and challenging) the winners of the first round were not allowed to use those heroes again, so it forced everyone to conceive of two strong teams, instead of just one.
The finals were held last night, October 11th, live on Twitch. Galkife faced off against PowForDamage. Galkife had previously won the WEINER 1 tournament, and PowForDamage took second place in last year’s WEINER 2 tournament. Both players are long time Puuba fans, so there was a lot on the line, and the competition was extremely intense. Ultimately PowForDamage edged out Galkife and claimed the victory.
PowForDamage took home not only bragging rights, but will receive a signed hard-copy of the game manual, a Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor poster, a t-shirt from Origins PC, and games from both Puuba and Akupara’s libraries.
