When did you first get started in games and how?
My dad bought me a Game Boy Color with Pokemon Yellow when it first came out and my love for gaming just grew from there. He’s a tech geek himself and loves it when a game has great resolution. He has influenced my love for games by always encouraging me to try out and learn more about the latest and greatest consoles.
What has been your favorite project to work on?
That’s so hard! I would probably have to say Keep in Mind: Remastered since it is the first project I worked really heavily on and I think the message about mental illnesses, relationships, and self care is really important to talk about.
Where do you draw inspiration from?
Personally, I’m inspired by my parents who have worked so hard to give me everything I have. I want to be able to take care of them and make them proud.
For work, I am inspired by everything around me! If I need new ideas, walking around the store or the mall for inspiration always helps me. Bouncing off ideas with the team always hypes me up for upcoming projects as well.
What is your favorite video game or series?
I would say Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex was one that I kept going back to as a kid. Recently, I’ve been playing a lot of League of Legends and I have reignited my love for good old RuneScape.
What is your favorite tabletop game?
I think my favorite tabletop game would have to be Catan. I remember enjoying this game so much that my friends and I would play online with each other after school when we couldn’t meet up.
If Akupara could partner with any person, who would you want to work with?
I think Dr. Disrespect is a marketing genius. He has a very well established personality and brand that he has built. Even after personal issues that could have destroyed him entirely, he has bounced back and his brand is still growing strong.
What is your proudest accomplishment with Akupara?
I think just being able to say I work for Akupara is my biggest accomplishment. I love every thing that I do and I get excited about the things I am able to work on. I have learned so much already and I am continuing to grow professionally. It is so wild to me that I am a part of this amazing team where my ideas and contributions can be heard.
