When did you first get started in games and how?
My Grandma bought my brothers and I the SNES when I was like 6 and we played lots of single player, co-op, and multiplayer games. But it wasn’t until we got Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire for the N64 that my interest in games was really piqued. You could do this crazy tough master cheat with the controller that unlocked everything – including the physics engine. I was hooked playing around with it!
How did you first get started in the game industry?
I graduated from CSU, Chico and was struggling to get a job in the industry. Some fellow graduates were experiencing the same thing, so we got together and made Whispering Willows.
Where do you draw inspiration from?
Psychology, Philosophy, History, and Cultural Issues are where I draw a lot of themes and inspiration from. I also love studying various Mythologies. From there, it’s a matter of marrying the story with the necessities of design to create a hopefully cohesive entity.
