When did you first get started in games and how?

I grew up around different consoles and handhelds. From the Sega Genesis playing Sonic 1 – 3 to the Playstation playing Twisted Metal to the Gameboy gray brick with Tetris, video games have always been around me and an influence. 

How did you first get started in the game industry?

I joined a small Discord community for the game Rain World about 5 years ago which then had around 600 members in the server. I became an active member of the community. I started to build community events like Rain World Art Month that the community got actively excited to participate in. Every year I worked on improving the events I created and testing out different ideas.

I eventually landed my first job in the game industry with Akupara Game as a community manager.

Where do you draw inspiration from?

I draw inspiration from seeing different people happy and enjoying the stuff I create and also seeing the improvements I have made over the years while also understanding that I can still make improvements.

What is your proudest accomplishment with Akupara?

I think my proudest accomplishment would be being a part of launching Absolute Tactics. It was the first game I ever helped launch and it was an amazing experience and showed myself that I could do it.

What were you doing before you joined the game industry?

I was a maintenance worker for a fast food store. I ran the day-to-day upkeep of the store keeping different machines running smoothly.

Controller or Keyboard?

I play most games on the keyboard however some games I am much more comfortable playing with a controller.
