Whether it’s Elena from Whispering Willows, Wade from The Metronomicon or Kai from our upcoming game, Mutazione, fan created content is one of the special perks of being part of a game studio. To see the work that you’ve poured hours, days, weeks into reflected back by the people that love it is really something. From art to music to cosplay to writing, we take special care to highlight, encourage and credit the fan creators in our community for every piece of content they make.
On our Discord, you can hang with other artists, keep up with streams, and post your content for hundreds of folks to see. It’s the first stop that many of our fan artists make, entering the server and sharing what they’ve created, asking questions of the devs or other folks in the industry and collaborating with the other artists on our platform. You can always expect that if you bring Akupara fan art to our Discord, we’ll bring it to our other social media platforms to help extend your reach.
That isn’t exclusive to Discord, however. Tagging our Twitter accomplishes that same goal. When we produced the Damien animation for Youtuber Markiplier, the Akupara Games Twitter frequently featured long lists of all the fan created content we could find. And those shoutouts on Twitter always included the best credit we could find for the artist. If you make something, we want to tag you and help bring you the recognition that your art deserves.
To that effect, we’ve also created fan art libraries on the Akupara Games Facebook page. While Twitter and Discord are very active, it’s harder to create an archive that people can come and reference over and over again. The Facebook page, on the other hand, allows us to upload albums of fan art which we can update over time.
If you want to share Akupara Games content with us, please feel free to follow us on Twitter or Instagram, like our page on Facebook and join our Discord server. We’re always going to strive to do right by the creators in our community.
