When did you first get started in games and how?
This is my first real gig in games! Ive been working in animation as a Director and Storyboard artist for the last bunch of years and was searching for my next project. I worked with David years ago at Animax Entertainment, and he was gracious enough to bring me on the team!
How did you first get started in the game industry?
I was hired to animate a fight scene for a pitch, and from there I was brought onto the team to help with actual in game animation. Its been a lot of fun and a great learning experience!
Where do you draw inspiration from?
Oh man, everywhere. Comic books, movies, music, cartoons, co workers, the list goes on. Ive been fortunate enough to work with some really talented people, that alone inspires me to keep learning and improving.
What is your favorite video game or series?
Tie between EA Sports NHL 96 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
What is your favorite tabletop game?
DnD
If Akupara could partner with any person, who would you want to work with?
On the art side, Jim Soper. He is currently freelancing for WB Animation. Hes one of my favorite artists and would love to work on something in his style.
What is your proudest accomplishment before coming to Akupara?
Proudest moment would probably be breaking into the animation industry haha. That, and getting the opportunity to direct on Bojack Horseman. Both took a lot of work to achieve! Since then Ive been lucky enough to make great friends and relationships and get steady work on shows that I really like.
